Flavored Syrups

  • 2 tbsp of flavor (thyme, basil, ginger, whatever)
  • 1 cup sugar (double for a rich syrup)
  • 1 cup water
  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan
  2. Bring to boil, stirring constantly
  3. Remove from heat when sugar is dissolved. Don't over boil or it will turn into candy.
  4. Once halfway cool, strain into a glass container using a metal mesh strainer
  5. Store refrigerated
